Innovative, interactive 3D simulations support maintenance and repair for F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) July 16, 2010 -- NGRAIN, a leading provider of interactive 3D equipment simulation solutions that maximize the effectiveness of training programs and maintenance support systems, today announced its support of the Canadian government’s decision to acquire the F-35 Lightning IIJoint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft. Maintainers of the F-35 will be using NGRAIN’s 3D technology as the backbone for the Low Observable Health Assessment System (LOHAS) which is designed to support the maintenance operations for the aircraft.
Designed to save time and increase knowledge on the job, the applications are ideally suited to organizations requiring an easy and cost effective way to quickly access information in any environment from headquarters to the field. The Virtual Task Refresher provides maintainers already deployed with a 3D equipment simulation that can be quickly referenced for procedural information. The Virtual Index provides easy access to any documentation and resources associated with equipment via hyperlinks on a 3D model of the system.
The Virtual Task Refresher, based on NGRAIN’s award-winning 3D equipment simulations, delivers program and procedural updates and support for modified equipment or tasks that are infrequently performed.
Producer is used worldwide to develop training programs and maintenance support materials that provide personnel with the ability to examine equipment and the inter-relationship of parts while learning key maintenance procedures. With Producer 4.1, users can take advantage of enhanced rotation, cross sectioning and constraints capabilities, including new animation and security features, to design compelling and interactive 3D simulations.
Producer 4.1 is conformant with SCORM 2004 (3rd Edition), and is ideal for trainers interested in increasing classroom throughput, reducing project costs associated with the acquisition and repair of hard trainers, and elevating student knowledge and retention of complex systems information.
NGRAIN, the leading provider of interactive training and simulation solutions maximizing the effectiveness of training programs and maintenance support systems, can be found throughout the exhibitor floor at ITEC 2009. Joining reseller booths Infotron and KaTron Defence Aerospace and Simulation Technologies Inc., as well as technology partner SMART Technologies, NGRAIN will be demonstrating its unique and specialized products for training and maintenance applications.
