RENAULT has chosen OKTAL to make its first simulator designed to educate drivers to eco-driving. The simulator implementation last for 3 months, it was presented at the workshop organized by Environment RENAULT in Chatenay-en-France from June 18 to 27 where the mark explained its environment policy, especially through its trademark Eco ² ( Ecological and Economic). Journalists from Europe have been pleased to try the simulator.see article

Thanks to the SCANeR™ CALLAS software, the simulator eco-driving allows a driving rendering particularly realistic and through the use of engine data supplied by Renault, to calculate very accurately the values of consumption and pollution instantaneous and cumulative.

The SCANeR©II Headlight Simulator enables the user to analyze, assess and predict the implications of a range of future lighting systems and combination of systems.

Based on both driving simulator technology and an innovative real-time headlamp simulation, the SCANeR©II Headlight Simulator allows to put the driver in real nighttime conditions (Man In the Loop - MIL) and to react with its own car. Thus, the lighting system which can be real (Hardware in the loop - HIL) or as a model (Software in the loop - SIL) is able to react according to the 3 actors: the driver, its vehicle and the road network environments.
