Canadian Forces flight crews will soon have access to new cutting-edge simulation and training systems for their CP-140 Aurora aircraft. xwave, a Division of Bell Aliant has been contracted by General Dynamics Canada to develop and deliver three procedures crew trainer (PCT) simulators for training of Aurora crews. The PCT is a variation of xwave's mission crew trainer (MCT), an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) training simulator for airborne platforms. The contract is valued at $7.4 million.

The original DualHead2Go now supports the wide range of graphics hardware already supported with TripleHead2Go, including add-in cards from ATI Technologies® and Nvidia®, and SLI™; configured systems. With TripleHead2Go, in addition to existing support for 3 monitors at time, Matrox now provides support for 2 monitors at a time, wide screens, and higher refresh rates.

BVR Systems (1998) Ltd. has been awarded a contract for the provision of its In-Flight Electronic Warfare Simulator (IFEWS) product to be supplied to a European customer. The system includes the provision of airborne units and ground stations comprising a comprehensive rangeless EW training package. The contract is valued at approximately US$1.7 million.
Westar Aerospace & Defense Group, Inc. has acquired Colorado-based SimAuthor, Inc. in an all-cash transaction for approximately $8 million. With offices in Washington, D.C. and Boulder, Colorado, SimAuthor provides flight operation quality assurance analysis to the US Navy, US Army, and many other industry leaders in the flight simulation business.
Virage Simulation Inc. has selected AutoSim AS as provider of key software components for its high fidelity car simulator currently under development.
